Continuing with a more in depth review of the DVD series – Towards Belief. This week looking at the Church.

• The church currently maybe failing and obsolete but the church has always found renewal, revival and reformation
• Keys to effective churches is to build teams and to move away from the over glorification of the role of the senior pastor
• Friends bring friends to church as the gospel outworks in people’s lives
• Church growth is happening around the world in China, in Nigeria, in parts of India
• There is a spiritual hunger especially amongst young people
• The biggest crime would be to take the most important message and make it boring and irrelevant to people
• Churches are providing a spiritual home for people – where they are on mission together
• People refuse to change when they are self-absorbed
• Be a help to your community
• Growing churches have a true passion for the lost, a true dependence on the Holy Spirit, and humility characterizes the leadership
• Jesus said, I will build my church
