“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25
It’s a lie of the devil that the harder we work for God the more spiritual we will become. Instead, we become mature Christians by trusting not working. However, trusting is much harder than working as it is easy for us to take charge and do things in our own way, in our own time, to bring about our own outcomes. As we learn to keep in step with God’s Spirit, we discover the balance between passive inactivity and overloading ourselves with false responsibilities.
