“But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.” Titus 3:9-10
Sadly some enjoy controversy. They deliberately bring up topics that are divisive so they can debate minor issues. Occasionally we can be deceived into thinking we’re encouraging a young believer when in reality they’re avoiding the challenge of the Gospel. Sometimes it’s necessary to disassociate from those who are disruptive so we can maintain peace within our Christian communities.
