Short Devotion : Romans 15:8-9

“For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy.” Romans 15:8-9

William Ewer wrote, “How odd of God to choose the Jews.” The odd part is that God would choose to be in relationship with any people group. God grew Abraham into a nation that was supposed to display God’s truth and though they failed, they didn’t thwart God’s ultimate plan of showing mercy to those who would respond.
