Paul hoped to arouse the Jews to jealousy by making them realise they were missing out on God’s blessings because they wouldn’t acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah. Does the way we live our Christian lives arouse others to envy us? Do our lives make people jealous, or at least, curious, about our love for the irritating, our consistent joy, our peace during difficulties, our patience with the annoying, our kindness for the unfortunate? Are our lives attractive to unbelievers?
