Being in an inappropriate place at an inappropriate time becomes temptation’s opportunity. The inappropriate place might be in front of a computer surfing the internet, snoozing on the couch or lingering behind at work. The inappropriate time might be when we’re lonely, discouraged or bored. God promises to provide a way of escape from temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13) but we have to choose to take it.
