Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman … with her seductive words. Proverbs 2:12, 16
The book of Proverbs expounds the dangers of words that are “perverse” or “seductive.” We live surrounded by the clatter of voices. Some speak with such confidence and eloquence, it’s easy to believe they speak the truth, but God’s wisdom teaches us to discern people’s words. Paul exhorts us to speak God’s words for people’s strengthening, encouragement and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3).
