Sluggards do not plow in season;
so at harvest time they look but find nothing. Proverbs 20:4
Lazy people don’t want to do the work of ploughing and sowing, yet at harvest time, “they look.” Why do they look for produce, when they have done nothing to create it? Many do the same today. They don’t put in any effort to provide for themselves, yet expect the government or charitable organisations to provide for them. Paul taught, “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat” (2 Thessalonians 3:10). In general, God expects us to work for our basic provisions.
