… the prayer of the upright pleases him. Proverbs 15:8
Our prayers please God. When we pray, we’re acknowledging God’s existence. We wouldn’t pray if we didn’t think God was powerful enough to help. We wouldn’t pray if we thought God didn’t care. We pray because we know he hears (v.29). Prayer is an act of faith and faith pleases God. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). We pray because we have a good God.
