“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24
Without the storm, the house on the rock and the house on the sand look the same. Both appeared to be solid and secure, but trials and difficulties reveal our true beliefs. Does my faith remain strong under life’s pressures? Do I continue to believe God loves me and is in control of all my circumstances when things go badly wrong? Knowing Jesus’ words is not enough. Do I put them into practice?
