“If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down.”

“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Matthew 4:3, 5 & 9

First, Satan suggests that God isn’t providing for Jesus’ needs the way he should. Second, Satan attempts to coerce God into working a miracle on Jesus’ behalf. Third, Satan offers Jesus the kingdoms of this world, but God had already promised these to Jesus. By consistently choosing God’s ways, Jesus avoided falling into temptation.
