“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
The command is to make disciples—to teach people about Jesus so that they trust him and obey his words. It’s more than believing he lived and died. It involves changing the way we live in response to his love for us. We no longer live to please ourselves but rather we live to please him. We become more like Jesus. It’s acting on our beliefs and making a public declaration through baptism.
