“The chief priests and the teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. ‘But not during the festival,’ they said, ‘or the people may riot.’” Mark 14:2
The Jewish leaders decided not to arrest Jesus during the Passover festival, but God had other plans. The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, must die at Passover. God was in charge, directing events, not the Jewish leaders. Even when things are going badly wrong, remember God is in charge. He is directing events according to his good purposes, and your best interests.
