About a week later, Jesus’ closest disciples experienced his transfiguration. They were given a glimpse of the kingdom, a revelation of its worth and its eternal nature. They understood the kingdom was worth any sacrifice. Even the sacrifice of denying their dreams and ambitions, and dying to the things of this world. God’s kingdom is worth the sacrifice.
