“Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” (Genesis 13:9)
As the older relative, Abraham was entitled to choose first but he was so confident that God would bless him, it didn’t matter which part of the land he was left with. Lot chose the best land but it included Sodom which became a snare to him and his family. We’re never disadvantaged when we trust God’s provision. He’ll always find a way to bless us.
