“For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” Jude 1:4
When we acknowledge that Jesus is Sovereign and Lord, we live to please him. But those who don’t acknowledge Jesus’ sovereignty, live to please themselves and consequently turn God’s grace into a license. Jude tells us some are in our church communities and warns against their influence. Instead, we build ourselves up in our faith (verse 20).
