Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured … they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?” The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away … Later Jesus found him at the temple.” John 5:8-9, 12-14
Although the healed man doesn’t know who Jesus is, he goes to the temple instead of going home. His healing changes his heart. His desire is for God’s Presence. Likewise, God’s blessings turn our hearts towards worshipping him.
