“Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me” … Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, ‘But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?’” John 14:19, 22
Jesus knows the cross is approaching and he will no longer be physically present in the world for a limited number of people to see. Instead, Jesus intends for the world to see him through his followers who are indwelt by his Spirit. Jesus in a human body is limited but by his Spirit in us, he’s accessible to all.
