“Jesus answered, ‘It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.’ Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.” John 13:26
In dipping the piece of bread and giving it to Judas, Jesus is reaching out to him and offering him grace, love, hope, peace, fellowship and a position of leadership. But Judas still betrays Jesus. Jesus takes every possible step to reach Judas but he rejects him and his message. Likewise, Jesus takes every possible step to reach us.
