I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple … I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
He said, “Go and tell this people.” Isaiah 6:1, 8-9

Isaiah sees an amazing vision of God’s holiness and volunteers to speak to his people on God’s behalf. But first, he recognises his uncleanliness and unworthiness (v. 5). He accepts God’s provision (v. 6-7). We can’t commit to going without God’s equipping.
