“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15
God told the devil that his attacks were mere strikes to Jesus’ heel but ultimately, he would crush the devil’s head. It’s a promise of God sending a Saviour. Throughout the Old Testament we find more prophecies which become clearer and more specific. Jesus’s ethnic race, ancestral tribe, and family are all foretold, plus his birthplace, his servant ministry, his sacrificial death and his victorious resurrection. God’s plans are never thwarted.
