“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork.” Ephesians 2:8-10
Yes, we’re God’s handiwork and there’s nothing for us to boast about, not even, the works we do because they are simply our response to God’s graciousness. We cannot improve our standing with God through our hard work or natural abilities so access to God is the same for everyone. We all come to God acknowledging our reliance on his grace.
