“And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 1:22-23
I love Peterson’s paraphrase of these verses, “At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church” (MSG). As yet, we don’t see the world being peripheral to the church but in God’s economy, the church is the instrument he has decided to use to change the world.
