The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?”
“No,” he said. (Numbers 22:30)
“Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?” It’s a good question to ask ourselves if we’re having trouble trusting someone. Trust is something that builds over time. It’s easy to trust someone when things are going well, but faith grows when we find someone faithful during the hard times. Our trust in God builds as we become aware of his faithfulness.
