“When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Imperial Regiment.” Acts 27:1
For a long time, Paul knew God was sending him to Rome. Yet, he was delayed for two years in jail in Caesarea, and then he spent a further two years under house arrest in Rome. There were other places Paul wanted to go and share the Gospel. From prison, Paul prayed and wrote many letters to the churches. Some we still have today. Nothing in God is wasted.
