“As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and said, ‘That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.’” Acts 24:25
Felix found Paul’s message inconvenient. Paul’s three-point message is summarised by Luke as being about righteousness, self-control and judgment. God provides his righteousness through Jesus’ death to cover our past sins since God is a holy God. He provides self-control as we face daily temptations and salvation to protect us from the coming judgment. The Gospel is always inconvenient because it interrupts our comfortable lives.
