“People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” 2 Timothy 3:2, 4-5

Some people appear to be godly—perhaps they participate in religious activities and have some understanding of Christianity—but by their choices, they reveal they aren’t growing spiritually. They deny God’s power. Paul tells us to have nothing to do with people who say they have faith but it’s not affecting their lifestyle.
