“We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.” 2 Thessalonians 1:11
The New Living Translation puts it this way: “May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.” We’re not puppets or robots, God has given us free will and expects our faith to prompt us towards doing good. Like Jesus went about doing good, we’re to follow his example (Acts 10:38).
