“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Generosity begins with mercy. When we hear about someone’s problems and are moved with God’s compassion, we are motivated to act mercifully towards them. Compassion grows within us as we feel empathy for their situation. This naturally leads to us being generous. God is blessed by those who have a generous heart since it reflects his heart.
