“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
God spoke light into existence and he makes his light shine in our hearts. It was God’s initiative to create light and his decision to reveal himself to us. The Creator of the universe chooses to make himself known to us. We only know God because he allows us to know him. He sent Jesus so we would know our heavenly father’s heart.
