“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart … Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:1 & 16
Paul could have lost heart considering all the difficulties he faced, even in simply travelling, “three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea … I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits” (2 Corinthians 11:25-26). Paul knew his ministry was God-given and he experienced God’s renewing and enabling.
