“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold” 2 Corinthians 3:12

Our hope isn’t wishful thinking or positive good wishes or empty promises—like crossing your fingers. These have no substance to them and being without hope leads to anxiety. Our hope comes from knowing that God is Sovereign. He is controlling world events, nothing happens without his consent and his eternal plans cannot be thwarted. Our future is secure which gives us confidence to know that whatever happens, we can cope because God is with us strengthening and enabling us. Godly hope makes us very bold.
