My first podcast will be on Friday, 19th June 2026, and today I’m launching the pilot.

I have always enjoyed reading, but didn’t begin writing seriously until 1988, when my husband, Ross, was diagnosed with cancer. At the time, we had three small children, and I looked for an activity that would take me out of the house for a couple of hours a week. My local community house offered two short writing courses. This appealed to me, and I completed the courses.

A few years later, Ross, now in remission, began training for pastoral ministry. Our first church expected Ross to write a devotional thought for the church’s newsletter every fortnight. He told the church that I wrote better than he did and promptly gave the job to me! That was over 30 years ago, and I have been writing devotional thoughts ever since.

I hope you will find my devotions encouraging and helpful in your spiritual journey. I write them for those who desire a closer relationship with God. I particularly like to focus our thoughts on how God sees us. God’s perspective always remains true and perfect. As we learn to accept God’s truth about all he has achieved for us through Christ’s death on the cross, we can feel more confident in our relationship with God.

I plan to upload a new podcast every week and expect each to last about three minutes, long enough to explore one idea and short enough to replay and reflect on during the week. I will begin by looking at Bible verses from the book of Psalms. As a young Christian, I spent a lot of time reading Psalms. I loved their authenticity and raw honesty. The psalmists told God exactly what they thought and felt, and God preserved their words for future generations.
