Montezuma Castle near Camp Verde.It’s not a castle but preserved cliff dwellings carved into the cliffs, built in the 1300s.
This is the chapel building where the conference meetings were held at Glorieta.

If it is any consolation…Here in Colorado, we’re at about 6800 feet altitude, and I was huffing and puffing in Sata Fe too.

Actually Lily this was my second time to the US. I was there in 1993. At the time we had Australian friends who lived in Texas and we stayed with them.
Both times I have been surprised by how culturally different the US is to Australia. I’m surprised because we get a lot of American TV shows and books, and people complain about Australia becoming too American. Yet the two countries are very different. Maybe I’ll write a whole post about it.
