Phoenix
I arrived in Phoenix this afternoon. It was quite warm but not humid so it was pleasant. The flight was mostly smooth but long. I did manage to read about half of “The Secret Message of Jesus” by Brian McLaren. He has made some good points so far. It will be interesting to see what conclusions he comes too.

did they give you food….were the meals ‘plane?’
Lol, yes they did give me food. Lunch and breakfast actually.
I’m currently at one of the branches of the Phoenix library where they are letting me use the internet for an hour for free. Aren’t libraries great!
Libraries are the awesomest!
I spoke to someone on the phone today from Aussie land. lol
Glad you had a safe trip … 🙂
Welcome to Arizona. Since our state is a desert we do not get much humidity. Although right now we are still getting a little bit of rain. The last of the monsoons seems to have come late this year.
The libraries in AZ are very good. But, to be honest the best one is the Arivaca branch in Pima County. It just celebrated its 10 year anniversary Saturday with a band, food and lots of people.
Susan,
You are coming a long ways to the Glorieta conference. I look forward to meeting you. Thanks for checking out and commenting on my blog recently.
See you soon,

Susan,
I think I received your cals last night, but I couldn’t answer (I’ll explain later). If you see this, I hope you’ll call back (Wednesday). I shoul dbe here all day.Looking forward to meeting you.
Thanks for the welcome, Otto. I enjoyed my time in and around Phoenix.
Hey Wendy, you have got me very curious. Whereabouts in Australia was the person you were talking to?
Kevin, it was great to meet you.
Oh gosh …. I did’t ask … I was talking to him under circumstances that didn’t lead to mundane chit chat. He did say that he was about 4 hours from any major metropolis and that getting a flight out of Australia quickly was not an easy thing to do.
LOL Does that help any?
LOL Wendy, that doesn’t help at all!
It rules out Tasmania and ACT.
It’s pretty unlikely (not impossible) to be victoria since only the extremedies are 4 hours away from a city.
But that leaves Northern Territory (Ayers Rock) Queensland (great barrier reef and beaches) and New South Wales (Sydney) ohh and south australia and western australia which arn’t famous for anything except being very west and very south.
