Last weekend I attended the Omega Writers Conference on the Gold Coast. The previous two conferences were cancelled so it was lovely to meet in person and catch up with so many writers.
I was fortunate to be a finalist for the unpublished adult nonfiction Caleb Prize. Congratulations to the winner Stephanie Walters (far right in photo) and also to the other winners of the various categories.
I attended several inspirational workshops plus the plenary session with our keynote speaker, Steven James, a well-known fiction writer in the US. I also had an appointment with a publisher that was encouraging. I hope to have further conversations with them after my manuscript has been discussed with the editorial committee.
