Here’s how the study works: Read the chapters mentioned in the heading during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for several chapters creates the opportunity to revisit them and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
6:3-5 "My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me. I brought you up out of Egypt… My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered."
Ballam gave them a blessing instead of a curse.
God's intention towards us is always good. When others wanted to curse God's people, God turned it into a blessing. Yet so often we think God has made things too hard. We ignore his blessings and expect a life of ease.

7:18-19 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
God is not like man because he likes to pardon and forgive sin. He doesn't stay angry like many do but delights to show mercy. People do not delight to show mercy. They may do it begrudgingly or out of obedience but generally not in delight.
