Here’s how the study works: Read the chapter mentioned in the heading several times during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for a chapter creates the opportunity to reread it several times and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
v.12-13 When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali
Jesus grew up in Nazareth, travelled to the Jordan in Judea to be baptized by John. Spent time in the wilderness, then returned to Galilee when John was put in prison. He then moved from Nazareth to Capernaum and lived there. Jesus lived in Capernaum during his ministry when he was not travelling. We are not accustom to thinking of Jesus living in Capernaum.
