Here’s how the study works: Read the chapter mentioned in the heading several times during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for a chapter creates the opportunity to reread it several times and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.

v.42 "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace"
So often we don't know what would bring us peace. Letting go of anger, resentment, bitterness will bring us peace. Yet we hang on to these things thinking we are gaining something but we are losing much peace.

v.7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
Eating with sinners meant, in that day, you were endorsing their life style. Interesting that Jesus didn’t worry if people jumped to the wrong conclusions about his motives. He ate with them anyway.

v.14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
How sad that people “hated” him. Jesus the most loving, kindest, most gracious king yet some hate him because he doesn’t conform to their expectations.

v.24-25 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’ “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
It was in the master’s best interests to give the mina to the one with ten because he would most likely do the most with it.

v.37-38 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
(From Constable’s Commentary) "All history had pointed toward this single, spectacular event when the Messiah publicly presented Himself to the nation, and God desired that this fact be acknowledged."
