Here’s how the study works: Read the chapters mentioned in the heading during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for several chapters creates the opportunity to revisit them and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.
The Israelites were looking to other nations to save them from attack. In this instance looking to Egypt to save them from the Assyrians. God says look to Him, trust Him, rely on Him. Don't scheme.

32:15 till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.
The desert will blossom (35:1). One day God will fulfil his promise to Israel and it well be a land of milk and honey – that is a very fertile land.

33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.
(From Constable's Commentary) "…fearing the Lord is admitting that one's destiny lies in His hands."
Fearing the Lord means making this 'fear' greater than any other fear in our lives. It means making the Lord our highest priority. Then we will be secure and blessed with salvation, wisdom and knowledge.

34:2 The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is on all their armies. He will totally destroy them, he will give them over to slaughter.
Judgement is coming. God will destroy the wicked. There is a limit to the amount of evil God will put up with. One day he will act.

35:1-2 The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom
"..the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the rose…" (AMP).
One day the Promised Land will flow with milk and honey. The cross promises us a great future, just like God has promised Israel a great future. Therefore have hope, have patience.
