Jesus: “heir of all things”; “made the universe”; “is the radiance of God’s glory”; “the exact representation of his being”; sustains “all things”; “provided purification for sins” and “sat down at the right hand of the Majesty”.

Jesus is superior to angels because:
1. “You are my Son” (v.5) (son)
2. “and he will be my Son.” (v.5) (promised son)
3. “Let all God’s angels worship him.” (v.6) (received worship)
4. “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.” (v.7) (not temporary)
5. “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever.” (v.8) (eternal ruler)
6. “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth.”(v.10) (creator)
7. “I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” (v.13) (victor over enemies)
