Here’s how the study works: Read the chapters mentioned in the heading during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for several chapters creates the opportunity to revisit them and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
6:13 Then they said to the king, "Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, Your Majesty, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day."
Daniel held a high position in the palace yet here his co-workers, in order to discredit him, refer to him as 'one of the exiles from Judah'. The world may not honour God's children but God does.

7:13-14 In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
Jesus liked to call himself the "son of man" and reading these verses it is easy to see why. If Jesus had called himself "Messiah" it would have suggested to the Jews he was a political ruler who was going to overthrow the Romans.
From these verses we see that Jesus has been given authority, glory, sovereign power and that he is God.

8:27 I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
Spiritual work is exhausting! We can get worn out for days. We can be appalled by what God shows us. We can have times of not understanding.

9:18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.
We come to God because of his mercy not our righteousness. Also note that Daniel asks God to hear and see and act – he does not tell God how to fix the problem.

10:19 “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.”
The angel touched Daniel and gave him strength (v.18). Daniel was also strengthened when the angel spoke to him. Likewise we are strengthened through God's touch – his enabling by His Spirit within and we are strengthened through God's Word.
