Here’s how the study works: Read the chapter mentioned in the heading several times during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for a chapter creates the opportunity to reread it several times and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
v.9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame…
Oh the irony! Here they are accused and having spent the night in jail for an act of kindness to a lame man!

v.33-34 And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them.
No one was in need because God's grace was powerfully at work. It wasn't because of people's own efforts but rather because people allowed God's grace to work in and through them.

v.13 and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

v.33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.

v.32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

v.13-14 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.
The Sanhedrin had nothing to say! The evidence before them was overwhelming and they couldn’t disprove any of it. No body of Jesus, unschooled men teaching with authority, a healed man.

v.29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
They had already exercised great boldness and now they asked for more. They knew their weaknesses and knew they were reliant on God. Unlike Peter’s rashness prior to the crucifixion when he claimed he would never deny Christ.
