Here’s how the study works: Read the chapter mentioned in the heading several times during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for a chapter creates the opportunity to reread it several times and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people’s insights.
v.1
As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.
v.2 For he says, "In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you."
I tell you, now is the time of God's favour, now is the day of salvation.
So let us all say AMEN!

Thanks Alison.
These verses really stood out to me:
v.11-13 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. As a fair exchange – I speak as to my children – open wide your hearts also.
It is interesting to me that Paul makes such an emotional appeal to the Corinthians, even accusing them of withholding their affection. Being a Christian also means connecting with other believers on an emotional level.
Thanks Alison.

v.16 I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.
"walk among them" – God's continuing purpose from Genesis to Revelation as to walk amongst his people.

v.18
I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
What a wonderful promise to look forward to!

v.4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;
Interesting that when Paul wants to commend himself he does so by drawing attention to his actions not his words.
Actions speak louder than words.

v.14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
This verse follows immediately after Paul's appeal to the Corinthians to open their hearts to him. Perhaps their reluctance to open their hearts is because they were doing things they knew Paul did not approve of, like being yoked with unbelievers.

v.8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;
With the benefit of hindsight it is hard to imagine that there were those in Corinth who regarded Paul as an impostor and circulated bad reports about him.
Nevertheless if it happened to Paul it can happen to us.
